Graskop
The town of Graskop is situated in the Kruger Lowveld region of Mpumalanga in South Africa.
Geography and History
Graskop was established in the 1880’s as a gold mining camp on a farm belonging to Abel Erasums, Native Commissioner of the Transvaal Republic. The name means “grassy peak“.
The town is home to God’s Window, a vantage point along the Drakensberg escarpment and on a clear day it is possible to see over the Kruger National Park.
